Project Presentations & Exam Instructions for Erasmus Students

The final project presentations will take place on Tuesday, December 17, at 15:30 in room 2B (not at 16:00 as previously announced due to organizational reasons).


Presentations will be in person, in Room 2B, not remote. However, please ensure that Microsoft Teams is functioning on your device, as you will use it for your presentation in the room. If you encounter any issues, let me know in advance.

Erasmus students who will not be present in January: Please sign up on GOMP and register as soon as you can for your reserved exam session of the same day (December 17).

Presentations should be approximately 10 minutes long.

For privacy reasons, you will receive the presentation list via email. You can also view it on the course page on eLearning. Please contact me if you have any issues with the list or if your name is missing.

Here is the schedule for our last three classes:

  • December 11, at 17:30, Room 2B.
  • December 12, I will be in Room 2B starting at 16:30 for in-class assistance. We will work together on the issues you have encountered preparing your final projects.
  • December 17: Project presentations, starting at 15:30, Room 2B. On the e-learning page of the course, you can find a booking calendar to confirm your presence at the final project presentations. The booking calendar will open on Friday, December 6, at 15:00.

In this class, we will discuss your midterm test, built an HTML page, and start practicing with GIS software.

You will find the results of your tests on November 27, at 19:00, within the course page on elearning.

Midterm Test of November 26

Tomorrow, November 26, there will be the midterm written test. The test will take place in Room 2B.

  • The test will cover the readings listed under “Discussion” in the syllabus.
  • Contents under “Optional Readings” will not be included in the test.
  • Additionally, to ease your preparation, be informed that there will be no questions on the following three essays/articles, even though they are listed under “Discussion”:
  1. Anne Burdick, Meta! Meta! Meta! A Speculative Design Brief for the Digital Humanities;
  2. Giorgia Lupi, Data Humanism: The Revolutionary Future of Data Visualization;
  3. Zachary Petit, One Design Firm’s Quarantine.

A Reminder About the Upcoming Classes

  • Tuesday, November 12: Step-by-Step example of tableau + topics already planned in the Syllabus (lecture on text analysis and discussion on data visualization).
  • Wednesday, November 13: Discussion and Exercise on Text Analysis.
  • November 19: We will devote the entire class to exploring HTML and CSS. This class is important for the preparation of your final project. Room 2B.
  • November 20: Discussion on data graphic and visual culture. Room 2B.
  • November 26: Midterm written test. Room 2B.
